Venus Fashion, INC is a leading American retailer known for its trend-forward women’s clothing and pioneering swimwear designs. We felt honored to work with the Sparky team to help Venus with a complete brand reinvention—one that would modernize their identity and craft a seamless, engaging shopping experience for their customers. This project challenged us to push the boundaries of user experience, visual storytelling, and brand transformation. We conducted a comprehensive site audit, uncovering pain points and opportunities to elevate the Venus shopping experience. From UX strategy to visual design, every detail was meticulously crafted to reflect the brand’s rich heritage while meeting the expectations of today’s digital shoppers.

We find a UX research method that works within the constraint of the project budget. Looking at preliminary data provided by our client, we identified global navigation and product details page as the core problematic areas to audit. This loose audit is time-efficient and possible within the budget limitation, it helps us quickly hone in on opportunities for improvements in the redesign by assessing core problems against best UX practices published by the Baymard Institute.

Many of our recommendations were around more appropriate navigation including navigation found on collection landing pages. We ultimately overhauled the main menu and listing page navigation structures.


Another focus area was on the product detail pages, specifically around dealing with the 'complete the look' sections as they perained to Mixing and matching swimsuit separates.

With thousands of items, Venus Fashion’s outdated navigation was cluttered and overwhelming. We greatly simplified categorization, eliminating redundancies and making it more intuitive. The new menu has an airy, effortless feel, allowing customers to explore with ease and fluidity.

Venus was famous for pioneering mix & match swimwear separates. At its core, the brand is about empowering women to dress for self-expression and confidence in all occasions. We brought this philosophy to all corners of the website, turning even the traditional cross-sell sections into branded moments.
